The complete guide to "Project Fallout" in Breakout

While the game is still fresh on my mind, I have decided to break the silence on my blog and post the complete guide to wining "Project Fallout", one of the Breakout Malaysia. You can find this game in Avenue K. This game has a 2.5 stars difficulty rating, which translates into it's not so difficult at all.

Project Fallout, an aptly named weapon of mass destruction is reported missing along with the group of scientists working on it. You wake up to find that you have no memory of who or where you are, but you are being interrogated by unknown authorities about a weapon you have no recollection of. You heard the authorities say that you wiped out your own memory before their arrival. Now you know that you have to breakout from their captivity and find out who you are, and what happened… Difficulty level: 3/10

In this game, there were two players, me and my friend. We had chosen 'timekeeper' and 'light bringer' as our abilities. This meant I could trade my ability for 5 mins extra time (or trade it for a hint) while my friend had a torch (or could trade it for a hint as well).

We were led into a lit room, with curtains drawn over half of the space of the room, and the other side, 5 booth areas. We were handcuffed to respective booths. Both the hands of the light bringer were cuffed to the first booth, and me (time keeper) to the last booth. The timer began.

Each booth had a name written on the lab coat. Mine was HeLiNa, and my friend, CoDy. We were locked by a 4 code combination lock. Long chains were going across the booths.

(LAST BOOTH PERSON: HeLiNa) First thing was to open the chest box on the table. The box had a picture, on it it was written "CoDy has to pull".

(FIRST BOOTH PERSON: CoDy) When she pulled the chains in front of her, the curtains drew open and showed the Periodic table. Each player had to find the element from their names to get the proton number. For example, HeLiNa would be 2311. (He)(Li)(Na)

We used this code to unlock the 4 code combination lock, and this allowed the chains to move freely (slide left and right). There was another picture on HeLiNa's chest box that depicted that a key was needed to free our handcuffs.

Tug the chains to allow CoDy to reach for the key attached to the chains. When my friend freed herself, I tugged the chains towards me to reach the key. My friend freed me after. First puzzle was solved. 35mins was left on the clock.

The next puzzle was to unlock the turning type of lock on a glass cupboard. We needed to grab the tool inside (as indicated on the puzzle picture). The answer was written on the blackboard literally next to it. It showed the number of turns to make and to stop at what number. We unlocked the cupboard and grabbed the tool to unscrew the screws on a vent. The vent led to a small room. In the small room, there was a bike wheel and on the side, a protruding cylindrical block. Push the block inwards to remove it.

Leave the small room and yank the drawer open (drawer below the glass cupboard). Step into the drawer and slide into another dark and small room, with a computer on it. A password was needed. On the table, only one document was significant to the game, a horoscope chart. One person had to spin the bike wheel to generate electricity in the dark room. On the ceiling of the dark room, two horoscope signs can be found, gemini and libra.

The password: 05060910

This unlocked the computer and showed the explanation of the project. A decision was to be made, to launch nuclear missile to the city and escape through the pod to save yourself or not launch and be caught by the FBI. We chose to launch (not knowing what was going on), and a countdown was started for the launch. The 4 digit code to the final puzzle, a lock on the door was given on the computer.

We opened the door and climbed up to a passage on top of the room, and led us to the end of the game. We broke out with 7 mins to spare.

Easy game.
